Level 4 Certificate in Vocal Pedagogy
This is a new course, taught by Dr Jane Oakland as well as the usual team of Dr Jenevora Williams and an ENT voice specialist consultant.
If you like the look of the Postgraduate Certificate content but don’t wish to commit to the whole course, then this may be just what you are looking for.
The purpose of this course is to develop both an academic and practical understanding of vocal teaching. It begins with exploring the psychology of the performer before moving onto posture and the vocal mechanism.
It is designed to enable anatomical and theoretical information to be applied in a practical context within either the private studio or classroom setting. It seeks to empower teachers with both a thorough knowledge of vocal pedagogy as well as a set of practical tools that can be used to enhance teaching. It is not model specific and it seeks to explore this divergent, conflicting practice.
