Boys to Men

Wednesday, 13th March 2013, 4.30pm – 6pm (arrival from 4pm and a chance to stay and chat until 7pm)

This is open to anyone living or working in Surrey.

WHERE – St Bedes School, Redhill

WHAT - A session run by Voice Change expert Jenevora Williams and singer and teacher Charles MacDougall, which will help teachers understand voice change and how to support boys through this challenging time whilst still continuing to sing (including repertoire suggestions ).

WHO FOR - Recommended for teachers working with boys/male voices – epseiclaly those working with the higher end of Key Stage 2, and in Key Stages 3 and 4.

HOW MUCH - £10 per person (including refreshments, hand out resources and a certificate of attendance).

The workshop will be a mixture of practical and theoretical learning to help teachers working with boys understand the process of voice change.  Simple physiological information to share with students and a guide to how to help boys use their voice musically through this uncertain time.  As well as the theory there will be a guide to choosing and arranging songs and how to adapt warm ups etc as appropriate.  The workshop will include access to information sheets and repertoire to take away and use
